The successful Cyber Security Analyst will provide strategic
security 
capability for the organisationincluding
collaborating 
with key stakeholders to develop, implement and
maintain 
the Information/IT Security
Programme, 
ensuring information assets and operations are
secured 
effectively

Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Analyst:

  • Identify, evaluate and report on information security risks, threats and vulnerabilities including identifying strategies to
    meet compliance with 
    ISO 27001, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Assisting in the development of monitoring and alert systems
  • Contribute to Group projects, including
    working 
    closely with Solutions and Enterprise Architects, to ensure security is in the design across all domains including the implementation of Secure by Design principles where appropriate.
  • Review and monitor security
    across all systems (including penetration testing, vulnerability scanning,
    etc. as appropriate) and implement uniform security principles

  • Provide industry knowledge and
    expertise to 
    senior stakeholders, including Executive Directors, and leading edge technology thinking on behalf of assigned business domains to influence the organisation's future technology investments.
  • Oversee security architecture through to design, implementation and operations ensuring ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance.

Key skills for the Cyber Security Analyst:

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT security solutions across multiple domains.
  • Expertise
    in IT security architecture across 
    multiple technologies (application, data or infrastructure) with broad knowledge of security threats, vulnerabilities and controls.
  • Experience working in a cloud-based (AWS)
    environment

  • Experience of security framework and standards
    implementation (NiST, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.)

  • Preferably educated to a degree level or above
    in an Information Security or IT related discipline, or with an equivalent
    professional security certification (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISMP, CISSP)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Cyber
Security Analyst to join a large IT team. The salary on offer for the
Cyber Security Analyst is circa £50,000 plus great benefits. The role is based
in Liverpool and is commutable from Chester, Wirral, Warrington, Manchester and
other surrounding areas.
