ShortList Recruitment are looking for a BI Developer to join an industry-leading client based in Chester to join their growing data & analytics team.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in a with a demonstrable track record of being accountable for and having authority over their company's data models and pipeline designs.
You will have a proven background in implementing processes and systems to monitor data quality and ensuring production data is always accurate and available for stakeholders who depend on it.
Strong experience across SQL Server is essential, with a proven track record in using T-SQL and SSIS. You should be a MS BI Stack specialist with experience in complex ETL processes as well as someone with a passion for data who relishes a challenge.
Essential skills for the BI Developer to have:
- Expert level SQL user (T-SQL)
- MS BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
- Strong data analysis skills
- Performance tuning - T-SQL & SSIS
- Minimum 2 years' experience with data warehousing development
- Data warehouse design principles (Kimball, ODS and Staging)
- Experience working with large volumes of data (billions of rows of tables)
- Data visualisation tools
Desirable skills:
- Python
- Airflow
- Snowflake data warehouse
- Experience with Snapshot grain/Semi Additive data
- AWS
- Kafka
In return, the successful BI Developer will be entitled to a salary of up to £50,000 (DOE) & a full range of benefits. The role will currently be fully remote in the current climate and will then revert to a hybrid of office work and work from home long-term.
