ShortList Recruitment are working with a leading Cheadle-based company who are recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer to join their growing technology team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Cyber Security Team, and will need to have a strong network and infrastructure background.
Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Engineer:
- Implement, manage and maintain security toolsets.
- Investigate any and all security events and incidents
- Resolve any and all service requests, incidents and problems
- Identify and remediate any and all vulnerabilities
- Create and maintain any and all operational procedures, the configuration and technical documentation of all said procedures
Key skills for the Cyber Security Engineer:
- Relevant certifications such as CySA+, CISSP, GIAC, SSCP, Security+
- Experience with NGFW, WAF, IPS, EDR, NDR, AV, MDM, MFA, SIEM, email security, patch management, vulnerability management and scanning.
- Good knowledge of cloud, network security, virtualisation and infrastructure
- Experience working within a regulated environment
- Experience following ITIL best practice and similar change management
- Demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for security, including the ability to keep current with the latest threats, technologies, and trends
The salary on offer for the Cyber Security Engineer is £55,000 plus great benefits and the opportunity to progress and learn. The role is based in Cheadle but offers fantastic remote working opportunities. Easily commutable from Liverpool, Chester, Wirral, Runcorn, St Helens, Warrington and surrounding.
