ShortList Recruitment are working with a leading software business based on the Wirral, who are recruiting for a Junior Software Tester to join their expanding team.
The Junior Software Tester will work with the software team to complete QA across all software produced across the business, whilst raising defects and issues for the attention of the developers.
This role is a great opportunity for a recent graduate in Computer Science of junior Tester, to gain fantastic commercial experience with an excellent business.
Key Skills required:
- Thorough and analytical approach
- Problem-solving skills and an excellent attitude to learning new skills
- Strong record keeping and documentation skills
- Experience of working on Windows OS - preferably experience working on a Windows platform
- Experience and/or desire to learn code/scripting languages (JavaScript/Powershell)
- Any prior experience of testing methods - manual, regression, functional testing
- Degree in Computer Science, Computing or similar (desirable)
- High grades at both GCSE and A-Level education
- Automation testing experience (desirable)
The Junior Software Tester role will be based on the Wirral and is paying up to £25,000, plus benefits including sick pay and pension.
The Junior Software Tester role is commutable from Birkenhead, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Liverpool, Bromborough, Runcorn and Wrexham.
