Product Insight Analyst

ShortList Recruitment are looking for a Product Insight Analyst to join a growing BI team based in Manchester. The role of the Product Insight Analyst is to support the BI Strategy and act as a Business Partner across key functions to ensure delivery of the required reporting, analysis and insight needs.

The Product Insight Analyst will also act as an ambassador for the brand and to strive to improve the department’s operation.

  • Product insight generation (identifying and collecting appropriate product related data such as category, sales, stock and margin performance).
  • Join up insights from across different sources to provide the business with a holistic understanding of the product performance.
  • Design and deliver periodic reporting highlighting trends and monitoring KPIs.
  • Be able to communicate analysis outputs to wider teams within the company to help support delivery.
  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance.
  • Bring passion about the company brand, customer and digital experience.
  • Work alongside Buying, Merchandising and Trading teams to be able improve reporting and analysis.
  • Build systems/processes to transform raw data into actionable business insights.

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in an analytical/insight role.
  • Solid experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem solving aptitude, attention to detail and strong organisational capability.
  • Strong system skills (particularly SQL, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in the proactive & timely production of weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Highly analytical, and ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • A flexible & resilient approach.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with strong commercial acumen.

Desirable Skills:
  • Power BI experience or similar (e.g., Tableau / QlikSense/ Cognos etc).
  • Commercial experience with an understanding of ecommerce, retail or FMCG data / information requirements.
  • Stakeholder management and a general appreciation of stakeholder analysis and reporting needs.

The Product Insight Analyst will be entitled to a salary of £40,000 plus very attractive benefits. The role offers hybrid working with at least 2 days working remotely per week.

The role is commutable from Bolton, Liverpool, Macclesfield, Runcorn, Salford, Stockport and Warrington. To apply, click here!
