ShortList Recruitment are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a software house based in Warrington. They require a talented Application Support Engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line support to external clients.
The Application Support Engineer will deliver a high level of customer service and have the ability to deliver technical support to non-technical end users.
The skills required for the role are:
· Previous experience working within an IT support or consulting environment working with enterprise-level multi-tiered applications and supporting technologies.
· Experience delivering service within an ITIL based service delivery model.
· System and application administration skills in a cloud environment (preferably Microsft Azure).
· Experience working with relational DBMS (MS SQL Server, DB2, Oracle).
· Programming experience (e.g. SQL, Java, .Net).
· Experience with configuration and management of web/application servers (IIS, Websphere etc.).
· Experience with IBM FileNet P8 is an asset.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Experience interacting with external customers, and managing customer expectations
· Strong system analysis skills, with the ability to gather, define and document requirements
· Strong desire to continue learning and working with new technologies and environments
