ShortList Recruitment are looking for a Platform Support Engineer to join a software house based in Warrington. The successful candidate will provide platform support to external clients.
The Platform Support Engineer will deliver a high level of customer service and have the ability to deliver technical support to non-technical end users.
The skills required for the role are:
- Previous experience working within an IT support or consulting environment working with enterprise-level multi-tiered applications and supporting technologies.
- Experience delivering service within an ITIL based service delivery model.
- System and application administration skills in a cloud environment (preferably Microsft Azure).
- Experience working with relational DBMS (MS SQL Server, DB2, Oracle).
- Programming/scripting is helpful, (e.g. SQL, Java, .Net).
- Experience with configuration and management of web/application servers (IIS, Websphere etc.).
- Experience with IBM FileNet P8 is an asset.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience interacting with external customers, and managing customer expectations
- Strong system analysis skills, with the ability to gather, define and document requirements
- Strong desire to continue learning and working with new technologies and environments
The Platform Support Engineer role is based in Warrington and is offering a salary of up to £35,000 plus great benefits. You will also receive ongoing training and individual support and recognition to enable you to achieve progression goals.
