ShortList is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join the Product team at a leading Software House in Austin. The ideal candidate for this Product Owner role is an experienced product specialist who will contribute to the development and execution of the product roadmap for a global suite of applications. You will be joining this organization at an exciting time. They have been established in the Austin market for some time and are highly regarded in their area.
This Product Owner role is hybrid 3 days per week in office in Central Austin.
Key Responsibilities for the Product Owner role:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the core product roadmap
- Serve as product subject matter expert in your specific area.
- Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competition to support product decisions.
- Conduct market research and customer interviews to inform ongoing strategy.
- Align cross-functional teams around strategic goals.
- Develop product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Partner with engineering and design to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of Product Development with the appropriate technical teams
- Lead internal training and maintain knowledge base content.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills - a background as a Business analyst is ideal
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business or related field.
- Customer-focused, innovative, and proactive mindset.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in agile environments.
